Clicking fcitx icon on taskbar freezes the whole system

Bug Description
I need Japanese keyboard so I enabled fcitx and installed Mozc keyboard. When I have a text field active, language icon appears next to fcitx icon in toolbar and if I click fcitx icon at this time, the whole system freezes.
If there is no active text field, I can click the fcitx icon normally. This problem also happens in Ubuntu Mate as well, because there is the same bug report in Ubuntu Mate bug report section as well.
