Cannot search(and when I can it freezes)

I am following this test case: http://packages.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/341/builds/95070/testcases/1619/results

I am on this step: "This test will check that Lubuntu Software Center can run in expert mode"

When I got to step 6, I started typing in the search box, it just froze. I had to close Lubuntu Software Center. Then, when I reopened, I tried again. The cursor would not show up in the search box.

Note: after turning expert mode off and reopening the Lubuntu Software Center, it works, but freezes.

The maintenance of the Lubuntu Software Center is now limited to critical bugfixes on Lubuntu 16.04 only. It has been removed from the archive and does not ship in Lubuntu 17.10 and on. Therefore, I am closing this bug as Won't Fix.
