Bug Description
In 16.04, after installing Vino, an option appears in the "Default applications for LXSession" program. In addition, the command vino-preferences opens the configuration screen.
Vino does not install similarly in version 18.04 and entering the command vino-preferences does not work.

Thanks for the bug report. In the future, it is better to create separate bugs for separate issues. In the future, I would request that split to occur, but we'll deal with them both here this one time.
First issue, vino-preferences. It's not there anymore because it's not supposed to be. [This Debian bug][1] suggests that you want to install gnome-user-share and then you'll be able to configure in gnome-control- center.
Secondly, not appearing in LXSession, I'm frankly confused because the desktop files don't even have Categories so I'm not sure how they could be registered at all. Additionally, there don't ever seem to have been any scripts to set default apps through update- alternatives. That said, I'm not sure how it worked to begin with.
That said, the issue is entirely with vino and not anything Lubuntu/LXDE at all. I would advise to file a new bug against vino about making it the default application if that is indeed an issue that is affecting you.
