Bug Description
Fresh install of Lubuntu 17.10.
0. Before the issue occured:
- PCManFM had no option to set default folder on launching (I do NOT want to use /home/userXY), but allowed me to set folder where home icon takes me (Edit > Preferences > Use path for "Home Folder" button > Custom > /media/Data). Unfortunately this works only clicking on that button, it is not a folder where I get when I launch PCManFm from launchpad.
- I have created an alias in my ~/.bashrc
alias pcmanfm='pcmanfm /media/Data'
1. After reboot:
- Desktop Wallpaper disappeared. When I tried to do Start > Preferences > Desktop Preferences, it just tells me: "Desktop manager is not active." - and that's it. No access to those settings anymore.
2. Other symptoms:
Start > Preferences > Default Applications for LXSession > Core Applications > Desktop Manager ... says "filemanager" What is that supposed to be?
In file: ~/.config/
file_manager/
file_manager/
file_manager/
desktop_
Just out of curiosity, isn't the last line missing "_" in file_manager?
In file: /etc/xdg/
file_manager/
file_manager/
file_manager/
desktop_
I wonder if I did mess the setting with trying to do basic customization of file manager, or is there a bug?
Currently I cannot adjust my desktop.

Even after purge/reinstall of PCManFM and related desktop packages, resetting the values in config files to default, the issue still persists. Same error:
"Desktop manager is not active."
Any idea please?
