Screen/Display issue in Netbooks. 3/4 of the screen appear black.

I tried to install Lubuntu 17.10 32 bits on my Intel Netbook.

It works ok from the Live Cd... but after I install it and turn on, 3/4 of the screen is black and only 1/4 of the screen is visible. You can still click the black part and it does things, so it's not a resolution problem. Seems like the black part is corrupted in the display only.

I've found several posts in other forums from the last 15 days where people complain about the same. Seems like we all had netbooks with 1024x600 or similar resolutions.
