Bug Description

Running "sudo lshw" in Terminal causes complete lock down, even mouse cursor stops moving.
It stops at Framebuffer Devices phase so possibly related to Mutter, Xorg, or video intel

I realize that it's not possible to fix till Maverick release but would probably be useful to mention in known issues.

Ubuntu Maverick Beta amd64
Unity version 0.2.38-0ubuntu1
Terminal version 2.31.91-0ubuntu1
lshw version 02.14-1build1
Xorg version 1:7.5+6ubuntu3
xserver-xorg-video-intel version 2:2.12.0-1ubuntu4

Intel Mobile X4500

Will try to investigate further and report more details.

affects: unity → lshw

Just checked, this bug affects Desktop Edition with Gnome as well. Couldn't find the project name to list as also affected.

I am sorry, just found by googling that it's a duplicate.
Launchpad isn't good enough at suggesting duplicates...
