Bug Description
I though it was part of the FHS, but I couldn't find it.
I propose that system initialisation scripts (init scripts) shall be placed at
/etc/init.d/ as it is standard in all (newer) Linux systems I know.
/etc/rc.d/ or /sbin/init.d/ are other locations I know of, but they don't seem
to be widely used. In fact I saw /sbin/init.d/ only on some commercial UNIXs.
The reason for /etc/ is that the scripts are/can be configuration files and
./init.d/ prevails much more then alternatives directory names
Optional one could recommend that /etc/init.d/rc$x.d/ ($x = S, 0-6) contains the
start/stop symmlinks. (Though when using LSB's install_initd, the actual place
doesn't matter and may also be a database.)
