Bug Description
There may be various places where references to external specifications or
documents or websites are made. These should be collected in a new references
sections, perhaps as part of the appendix.
For example, POSIX is currently referenced once; bug 81 could introduce more
references. LANANA is referenced without further information. bug 726 could
conceivably introduce a need to reference Freedesktop.org specifications.
It would be nicer to do a full cite once and define a reference tag than try to
remember to do a more complete cite multiple times.
