Bug Description
The LSB Python 2 support is at the level of Python 2.4, a version that several
important projects no longer support (bzr, django come to mind). Since we seem
not to have been successful in specifying a sufficiently generic Python,
perhaps the Python 2 should be uplifted to 2.6 or 2.7 level.
