Bug Description

We are seeing thousands of files and directories building up in /tmp on the lucid buildbots. For example, on one of the machines there are currently over 11,000 items in /tmp as of right now.

We *could* clean the out in the same cleanup script that will handle bug 607255. It would be nice to have a guess as to the cause first though--the right fix is probably some cleanup of our test suite teardowns.
