lotta crashes randomly when download screen is opened

Bug Description
as the discription said, when you have the download-screen open it crashes randomly variating from a few seconds to a minute.
when you click the X-button right after the program has launched (so only the indicator is active) the process keeps running and when you open the download screen you can see your download has actually made progress, short after that the program jest crashes... very annoying!
you're still able to download stuff as long as you don't have the GTK-interface opened.
used version: lottanzb 0.6-ubuntu1 (from software center)
testing machine:
AMD X4 965 phenomII (3.8 GHz)
4Gb RAM
Nvidia 9600GT graphics card (1024 mb)
linksys WRT600N network card (wireless)
