Hi farika,

thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Several users are encountering this kind of problem (including myself) and it's the main reason why LottaNZB 0.6 has not been released yet. The segmentation faults are triggered in low-level non-Python libraries used by LottaNZB, which makes it extremely hard to debug. I suspect that the concurrency in parts of LottaNZB is to blame for it, and I've been working on making this code thread-safe. It seems to me as if the number of segmentation faults has decreased since, but they're certainly not gone yet. Do you happen to use the latest code of LottaNZB 0.6? If not, I strongly recommend you to get it using 'bzr branch lp:lottanzb'.

That's a pity. I recently gave LottaNZB 0.6 a spin on a recent Alpha of Ubuntu 11.04, and it also seemed to crash frequently. This means that the attempts to resolve the problem have been unsuccessful so far. :-( I guess that the segmentation faults will need a much more careful investigation.
