After installing the LibreOffice global menu extension does not allow to immediately create a footer or header in any specific page style, if there is more that just one page style present in the file only option that seems to work is enable and disable the headers and footer in all pages (this is not possible with documents with just one kind of page style). Only way to possible create footers and headers with global menu enabled is to in the format menu and select the page settings.

After installing the LibreOffice global menu extension does not allow to immediately create a footer or header in any specific page style; if there is more than just one page style present in the file. The only option that seems to work is to enable and disable the headers and footer in all pages (this is not possible with documents with just one kind of page style).
The only way to possible create footers and headers with global menu enabled is to do it from the format menu by selectinge page settings.
