Bug Description

Both Galaxy and Nexus hides the desktop icons.
While the live wallpapers plugins are working, the background image should be empty and transparent, and behind the galaxy should be drawn with the space.png image or something else if the user chose another one image.

To show the desktop icons and the live wallpaper at the same time requires a nautilus patch. Nautilus handles the desktop icons and the background image. Nautilus doesn't allow a transparent background image. I think there is also a bug report for this on the nautilus bug tracker.

The trick to make desktop icons to show, is that you have to use a PNG image as your background. Does not have to be transparent, it only needs to be PNG.

I can confirm this works on Nemo without livewallpaper-nautilus or nautilus installed.

Can also confirm this works on Nautilus without livewallpaper-nautilus installed.

The livewallpaper-nautilus hack is no longer required to display the desktop since Nautilus 3.10 in fact.
