software manager hangs approximatly 50second on adding curser to seach box

Bug Description
1) Version 12 (lisa)
2) Click into software manager then try to do a search via the search box.
3) System hangs(freezes) for around 50 seconds.
4) To be able to add the name of an app in which to searched.
5) Always.

Am finding the same behaviour with Mint 13 Maya Cinnamon. Only the Software Manager seems to hang.
