LMDE *.deb default file association is not gdebi

Bug Description
1. Using LMDE x32, release 1, service pack 4. Installed from: linuxmint-
2. Problem: clicking on a *.deb file opens it as default in file-roller.
3. Should open it as default in gdebi
Note: I know it is extremely easy to set the default file association, but I considered there should be a bug report on this as a question of polishing.

I have the same issue, also GDebi doesn't show up in Firefox's download menu when downloading a .deb.
