gscan2pdf leaves artifacts in cinnamon

Bug Description
1) I'm running Linux Mint 12, lisa, cinnamon desktop, 64 bit
2) opened gscan2pdf. a window opens that says "opening device" but the window does not completely close after it is finished.
3) to reproduce the bug, open gscan2pdf and click on the scan icon
4) i expected the window to close after it was finished, the way it does with gnome3 and with
5) the problem happens every time I use that program with cinnamon.
