Bug Description

Trying to connect to office VPN.
Error: The VPN connection "VPNname" failed. This happens each time I try to connect.
This machine is a dual boot winxp & linux mint 10 64-bit.
This machine, running winxp, connects with no trouble.
All machines on my local network running windows or OSX connect with no trouble, except this machine running mint 10 64-bit.
It did work from January 2011 through June 2011, but after an update it stopped working.
The IT guys say that mint/ubuntu 64 bit OS using pptp all seem to have problems.
I tried LM12 64bit from live CD, made no difference, same error.

I've tried all the solutions that have worked for others, without success. They include:
1. uncheck Available to all users
2. don't supply password on first connection.
3. don't save password in keyring
4. don't put domain in domain field (when it worked, that's where i put the domain name)
5. change the user to domain\user
6. stop and start networking
7. stop and start network-manager
8. reinstall LM10 from LiveCD
