LMDE64xfce not updating since debian-system-adjustments oct 05 2011

system is not updaing nor seeing updates since
oct 05 2011
last package that updated was
debian-system-adjustments.
repos are pointing to linux mint as instructed by update pack 3
synaptic is not loggin anything

What errors do you get when updating from terminal ? ie :

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
