That happened while running LibreOffice, right ?
Is there any specific action you did that caused the crash, and is it reproducible ?

Dear Mr. LE BIHAN,

this happend exactly in that moment when I connected an external hard
disc 80GB
to a USB port.

It is not reproducible at this moment.

Thank you very much for your help,

Best regards,

Martin

Were you running LibreOffice when the crash occurred (it would appear so, according to your log) ?

Dear Mr. LE BIHAN,

I am not sure, I just know that I connected a USB hard disk.

Can be that I was running LibreOffice because I planned to open
office files which are stored on my external hard disk.

The issue with the LibreOffice is that it wont have a bright future any way.
At work I have to use Microsoft Office 2003 which is not compatible to
LibreOffice
and the other way around, it is the same.

As 90% of companies are using Microsoft Office there is not much space
for LibreOffice
as long as it is not compatible.

Linux Mint is very unstable on my Laptop too.
Today it tooks me 5 attempts starting up my laptop until I could use the
System.

I like the design and the functions which are included but hopefully
version 13 will
fit my laptop too.

Thank you very much for your help,
Best regards,

Martin

Could you try again with Libreoffice running in order to confirm whether the bug is related to LibreOffice or not ?

BTW, I have to disagree with on the fact that LibreOffice doesn't have a bright future : it already has quite a long past (not as LibreOffice, but still) and will continue to evolve. Its developers are really doing their best to make it as compatible as possible with Microsoft Office, although it is impossible to have a full compatibility.
Also, the percentage of companies (or administrations) using Microsoft Office or OpenOffice/LibreOffice really depends on the countries, and my view is that the share is meant to increase, whether it becomes more compatible with Microsoft Office or not.

Anyway, that's not really the topic of this thread, so I'll be waiting for your feedback on the fact that LibreOffice is actually causing this.

Dear Mr. Le Bihan,

thank you very much for contacting me and also for the comment regarding
OpenOffice/LibreOffice.

At this moment, the Java Runtime Error can not be reproduced.
I will pay attention to this issue in order to collect detailed
information for reference.

Thank you very much for your help,
Best regards,

Martin

Dear Mr. Le Bihan,

I experience difficulty to start up the system if I start up the laptop
just from battery
without connecting via power supply.

The system tells me that the battery level is too low but according to the
battery icon, the battery still is charged more than 50%.

Is there an independent Linux Mint tool available for reconfirming
battery charging level
for a test only ?

I know that the battery of my laptop is O.K.

Thank you very much for your help,
Best regards,

Martin
