Bug Description

Using apt-file search for files known to be in repositories do not work - files are never found

Examples:
apt-file search LinuxMint.info
apt-file search linuxmint.png

(These can be confirmed with dpkg -S <filename> )

Investigating with apt-file purge && apt-file update lead me to this output:

Ignoring source without Contents File:
  http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/julia/Contents-amd64.gz

And the Contents file is indeed missing, not only from Julia but from all other releases. Browse and compare the repositories:

Mint
http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/julia/
http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/katya/
http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/lisa/

Ubuntu:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/maverick/
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/natty/
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/

So, is it possible for Mint staff to generate these /dists/<release>/Contents-<arch>.gz files so apt-file search works again for our beloved mint packages?

(Mint 10 amd64 here, but from the links I assume all releases are affected...)
