Task bar covers drop down menus

When a large drop down menu is opened it will open behind the task bar. For example open the Advanced Settings and position the window towards the bottom of the screen. Under Theme open Window Theme and scroll to the bottom, with certain GTK+ themes the last entry is impossible to select.

Hello,

This is the first time I try Mint. I am really disappointed by this bug and cannot believe I cannot find a fix for this issue.
This is really blocking and cannot understand the success of Mint with such a bug!

I am having this problem on my installation as well. I have applied all updates and it continues to happen. I'm running LinuxMint 12 (Lisa) with GNOME Shell 3.2.2.1.

Quick note on the bug, it only happens to me when the object/area I'm right clicking on is far from the bottom bar (launch bar), if I right click on an object/area near the launch bar, the menu appears correctly as it should.
