Computer will not shut down

I have an HP 6000 that will not turn off with Mint 11.04, had this problem with Ubuntu 11>04 as well, but this has been fixed in Ubuntu. but not with Mint, still will not shut down, everything goes away except the back ground then nothing, I have to hold the power button in. I prefer Mint but for now am using Ubuntu. Might have something to do with the video card, H-Alvorix RS880 VATX, Thanks Tom

You say it's been fixed in Ubuntu : would you happen to have a link to a report about the same bug on Ubuntu marked as fixed ?

No I dont have the link, I only think it is fixed because when I first installed Ubuntu 11.04 it did the same thing, I load it up now and it works, but not with Mint. Thanks for the reply..

I have a similar issue about Ubuntus and Mint, the only difference my screen goes black. But computer still runs. But my computer is a desktop computer that could be related with it.
