This is really a bug specific to the Mint Linux distribution, but that option was not available in the Distribution dropdown menu.

affects: canonical-identity-provider → ubuntu
affects: ubuntu → linuxmint

I have this bug in the folowing distributions:
Linux mint 10
linux mint 11 (ubuntu and debian based)
32-bit

Will be great to fix it
The menu ALWAYS crashes when a new panel is added.

A proposed fix:
Press "alt-f2" and type "pkill gnome-panel" , will reload the panel and might (NOT always) fix the panel.
 or,
 a patch for /usr/lib/linuxmint/plugins/applications.py

I hope this issu will be fixed, it really bother me to customize the panels every system reboot/shutdown!!!

else, mint is great :)
thanks for the team.

In Linux Mint Debian Edition, with compize OFF, the mintMenu with multi panels works flawless.

I even have 4 panels, one in eache corner, and every thing works great.

So i guess the problem arise when "compise" is enabled.
