Linux Mint hang at screen saver after a while

Used Ctrl+Alt+L to lock system and screen saver came on. System does not hang in the first couple of minutes but will hang if left alone a little longer. Not sure how long exactly - may 5, 10 minutes.
I am using Mint11-64bit on Asus P8Z68-Vpro, 8GB, i7-2600k. Did not OC my system.

Yes I have the same issue.
Linux Mint 11 x64
Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-29C with 2GB RAM.

LM11 here.
Gigabyte motherboard with nVidia bus.
MX440 AGP video
LM hangs on screensaver fullscreen (any 3d app)
It is not doing this my FX5200 card.

I suspect it has something to do with the kernel memory collision
for example

problem for my LM11 is that LM will not remove nouveau without removing essential apps

This problem has resurfaced in Mint 17 64-bit KDE. When screen saver/locker is to come on, system either "half hangs" or hard locks.
