Segmentation fault

I can't do an ubuntu-bug as I get the message:

The problem cannot be reported:

This is not a genuine LinuxMint package

Press any key to continue...

when trying. I don't know what that's supposed to mean, it's extraordinarily unhelpful.

This is 11.04, or rather Linux Mint 11, and it doesn't seem to matter what packages I install (ie, running from a livecd, initial clean install, or after putting packages on the computer).

I should add that everything was working quite well with linux mint 10. Compiz, etc, are all happy with 10, ubuntu 10.10, and all earlier installs.
