Bug Description

When I try to install gnome3-session packages with the default set of repositories, I get this error from synaptic package manager. Seems to be a bug in the package tree or repo?

This thing might also be useful:

napster@panther ~ $ sudo apt-get install -f gnome3-session

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gnome3-session : Depends: gnome-shell but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

I guess gnome-shell repo is not enabled by default and gnome3-session repo is enabled, which causes this error!

Greetings Subin....

I couldn't help but chime in here--I would guess that some of Gnome3 is coming in to Testing...I've been using Gnome3/G-S with Experimental for the last several months & Sid is also just getting some of the packages..If you want to work with G-S, check my thread on Mint forums: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=65745

Take care!!!!
