Bug Description

Version: I am using LinuxMint 11 (Main) 64-bit, but the problem should occur on every gnome based version using the Mint-X(-Metal) theme.

Problem: If I set the application font size in the gnome "Appearance" dialog using the Mint-X(-Metal) theme, the changed value is displayed, but the actual font sizes do not change. The other font size settings provided in the Appearance dialog seem to work as expected.

Expected Behavior: The setting in the "Appearance" dialog should change the actual application font size.

Workaround: In the file /usr/share/themes/Mint-X(-Metal)/gtk-2.0/gtkrc, comment out the two lines starting with "font_name = ". After this modification, the application font size could be set through the Appearance dialog.

I have verified, and can confirm this bug and workaround exactly as described in both themes.
