black screen at startup,no splash screen

Hello. I have problem when my system was starting. I have black screen, and dont have splash screen. Leater my deskop was shown. When I close GDM, and want back to console there I have same issule. Only black screen. I install official driver from nvidia, and I try too install experimental drivers. My PC configuration:

I got blackscreen after grub on my laptop after upgrading kernel .32 -> .38

The boot splash is displayed on my Toshiba Satellite C640 if I load from a liveCD. However after installation it never shows and I get a black screen instead. I tried tweaking the Startup options but it doesn't help.

...and new kernel .39 doesn't fix this problem so still using .32

I've tried several vga= options (depricated) under grub bootup (not changing any grub configs)
still nothing

I wonder if splash is trying an unsupported mode.
