When i first boot up the booter has the countdown waiting to make a choice. When i make the linux choice i still get the black screen. When i reboot my machine holding down my power button and it gets to the menu the countdown is not their and thats when the boot to linux works.

I have been doing some tests, rebooting my machine a few times to see if i can see a pattern. On the booter you have your timmer which launches the operating system if you do not choose. I noticed that as per above when i did not have the counter i booted fine. This time around i moved the cursor on the booter to get rid of the counter then chose my option to boot into linux and behold it worked fine.
