[mintmenu] Some preferences don't work

It seems there're some problems with mintmenu:

- No resizable (if i'm not wrong it was at least until Isadora)
- Preferences ->favs-> # of columns: No matter what you select, only 2 columns are shown
- Preferences ->favs-> Icons Size: New size ain't reflected in the menu

I forgot to add that it's working while editing by gconf editor (including changing the size by setting the size of each part of mint menu)

I can replicate as well

I tried to change the icon size for the favorites icons from 48 to 32.. Changes will not take effect.
The same applies with columns. I try to change the column number from 2 to 3. The change will not stick.

Does this bug apply to any of the currently supported releases (i.e. Maya, Nadia, Olivia, or Petra)? If not, this bug should be closed.

Please re-raise if this affects a currently supported release (Maya, Petra or Qiana)
