I can't reproduce this bug. Opening thunar and changing the view to detailed list. Then selection works fine. Browsing multiple folders and clicking everywhere... everything seems to work as expected. Tested from the live session.

This affects many more than one user. I have the same issue on Lubuntu Lucid, and can assure you that there are a sufficiently large number of posts to various forums that a Google search will demonstrate that. It would be nice not to get the feeling of being blown off when posting a bug such as this. Testing from the live session is not precisely an in vivo experiment, nor is running it from a VM.

One poster commented that he found the same behaviour on PCManFM as well, suggesting that some underlying library is the root of the problem. I have found PCManFM difficult enough to use (due to similar behaviour) that I have switched to using Thunar, but this is more because Thunar works much better in displaying USB flash drives (I know this involves udisks, as well, but I use floppies, also).

Thanks for your consideration.
