Bug Description

Due to the rolling nature of LMDE, MintUpdate defaulted to levels 1-3 only is not the best way to update/upgrade the system, imho.
Checking the Forum we start to see some problems already from users using MintUpdate with default settings, and i do believe with time more will come as wheezy develops.
I understand the value of this tool in a frozen release, like the ubuntu-based Mint versions, but until MintUpdate is "tweaked" to LMDE it can do more harm than good in the long run.

So this is not a new bug, as the the Devs already stated this tool's limitations, but more a wishlist: please remove for now MintUpdate from LMDE, until it's properly ported.
Tks for your time

I can understand your concerns regarding mintUpdate, however we've
always given the same advice. Its a rolling distribution, prepare to
be surprised once in a while. We're looking for ways to better adapt
the tool to the nature of a rolling release, and would love to hear
more from people how this would best be implemented.

Ikey,
yes it's a rolling release and MU defaulted like it is doesn't serve that purpose.
At least in LMDE all 5 levels should be enabled by default and removed the warnings about the danger of the upper levels, because one day not upgrading those base lib is going to be the real danger.

Or then remove the levels and sync it with synaptic.

I use it almost all the time, and yes i know there is a bether way to update LMDE.
The onley thing i see some times is broken packages what i must fix first.
But i run lvl 1-5 not onley 1-3.
But i agree whit z3r0z3r0 i think a bether tweaked update is bether.
