Bug Description

debootstrap fails on LMDE due to unability to download

This leads to unusable pbuilder:

$ sudo pbuilder create
W: /root/.pbuilderrc does not exist
I: Distribution is sid.
I: Building the build environment
I: running debootstrap
I: Retrieving Release
E: Failed getting release file
E: debootstrap failed
W: Aborting with an error
I: cleaning the build env
I: removing directory /var/cache/pbuilder/build//17255 and its subdirectories

Hello Evgeny, thank you kindly for reporting this!

A workaround to get a Debian pbuilder environment is to change the MIRRORSITE to (or another known good and known mirror) in /etc/pbuilderrc. Please check and confirm this works for you as it did for me.

Thanks for getting back to us. I've made a new package for pbuilder which adjusts the mirror post-installation. I will encourage it be uploaded to the repositories to fix this issue.
