Bug Description

I love the installer where it starts installing when you are finishing off by giving details for the login and host..

I see that is has no option for what boot-loader you want to use.. lilo would be good for an even faster boot and grub is good for the ability to use the recover boot option..

This is not a bug but a blueprint, or idea, for moving from GRUB to LILO.

As far as I see it, there is no reason in this world why LILO would be used over GRUB; LILO doesn't even support booting from Ext4. If you want to see a switch, you must argue why LILO is better than GRUB and it must also be the case that LILO can support about all the situations that GRUB supports.

If you want to personally use LILO instead of GRUB, you are free to do so. But just having the option in the installer for the sake of having another option in the installer is not enough.

Agreeing with Rovanion, if the user wants to switch bootloaders, they can do it post-install.

Someone please close and clean up this bug.
