Hi.

This was reported as a bug in usbmount, but I don't see any traces of it
being used here.

These messages come directly from the Linux kernel and it indicates that
there is some problem with the kernel talking with the device. This
occurs much earlier than udev is called (which, in turn, calls
usbmount).

That is supposing that usbmount is even installed on the system.

Sorry if i put it in the wrong package, I'm new to the Ubuntu bug squad and was just trying to figure out what package was involved. If you have any suggestions on how to correctly package this bug I would appreciate knowing what package you think is to blame for this bug.

Well, that's great that you're helping squash bugs. Congratulations. We
all need this sort of quality assurance.

BTW, if you want to help with some bugs, it will be nice if you can also
help to fix some of them on Debian, as the packages that go into Ubuntu
are usually grabbed from Debian and this benefits both distributions.

No problems. I just reassigned this to the linux kernel, even though
some details about the situation when the bug happens are missing. This
bug could be flagged as incomplete or similar.

I think that the problem is in the driver ohci_hcd in usb controller with IRQ 22 maybe some weird switchin betwen ohci <> ehci, im serching for and old usb flash to try ohci driver, i attempt to disable ohci_hcd but they not compiled as module in linux mint, i have experience compiling kernels in another distribution (gentoo). so i try to recompile with anoter version, And sorry for my english is very ver basic lol, y wish to help resolving some bugs :)

Hi nspyre,

Please be sure to confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains, please run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 585461

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
