Bug Description

Using the Mint 9 gnome final iso, from the cd i can replicate this behavior every time. No changes or additional software added just vanilla defaults.

Start the Software Manager
Click the "System packages" category
Use Gnome System Monitor to view memory usage

Memory usage starts at around 100mb then adds around 130ish mb every time you click the category even when going back to view all categories then clicking it again.

Hi, thank you for reporting this issue!
Could you please do the following?
Lines starting with "$" indicate a command to be executed in the terminal.

$ inxi -I && free -m
$ mintInstall

Now click the System Packages selection and wait for it to complete with no interruption
$inxi -I && free -m

Please then post *all* of the terminal output back here so we can
see whats going wrong, thanks!
