Bug Description

Window Resize area is realy small (around the windows). So you need to be exactly on the border of the window to resize it. Maybe this can be bigger, so it would be more user friendly.

I know this is GNOME related..

It's related to the theme we're using. I'll look into it to see if we can fix that.

Unfortunately this will not be fixed in the stable release. It's easy to fix but it makes the desktop look really bad.

This problems affects a number of themes: marking as duplicate of #160311

In Linux Mint 9, to work around the problem, do the following:

- Right-click on the desktop
- Select "Change Desktop Background"
- Go to the "Theme" tab
- Press the "Customize" button
- Go to the "Window border" tab
- Select "Shiki-Colors-Easy-Metacity"

This alternative window border theme isn't as nice looking, but it comes with a thicker border, making it easier to resize windows.

Another alternative is to resize them directly with the mouse, without using the border. To do this, press "Alt" on the keyboard while pressing the middle click on the mouse to resize the window.

"press "Alt" on the keyboard while pressing the middle click on the mouse to resize the window." Is a really good alternative! because 2 pixels does not make much difference.
