Bug Description

Unable to enter password on citibank login page. After placing curser in the password box firefox 3.6.3 and opera 10.10 the browser freezes and the curser is not visible any longer in the password box. I must close the browser and restart in order to use the browser again. I am using nvidia 96.43.13 Intel pentium 1.6 gb. In windows xp I have no problem with ie7, firefox 3.6.3 or opera 10.10 the web site is www.citibank.com/us/cards

I can reproduce this problem.

Using Mint 8 and Firefox 3.5.7, clicking anywhere on the login form freezes the whole content of the page. This content is rendered in Flash, so it's an issue with the Linux version of Adobe's Flash plugin. It's closed-source though so there's little we can do about it.

In any case, it's flash related, nothing to do with the browser or your graphics drivers.

I've had the same problem with Citicard for years. Easiest way to login is to right click somewhere in blank area before anything else. That will give you a flash menu. Click on the Run. Then a continue, continue, close will let you use the user name and password windows as they should.

I have talked to tech services at Citi 3 times over the past couple of years about this problem and it will never be fixed it doesn't seem. My final solution was to quit using their card and switch to Capitalone. Their website is Linux friendly.
