Bug Description

VMware player 3 on host-OS LinuxMint8 main, is most of the time NOT usable as soon as VMware tools of guest-OS gets installed. Like Microsoft Windows XP or 7 as guest-OS.

Mouse focus or clicks don't get through to the guest-OS, or partly lower or higher part of the virtual-screen, although the virtualmachine knows its focused because it mentions to press ctrl-alt to release mouse, it doesn't work at all.

It seems that it is Virtualmachine related because some do respond normal and some doesn't.

Solution:
Pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE seems to make the Virtualmachine respond to mouse clicks again. Every time the Virtualmachine has been restarted you have to press CTRL-ALT-DELETE instead of the default CTRL-ALT.

Thank you
for taking the time to report a bug in Linux Mint
This is however not a Mint bug, possibly a VMware bug but most likely some misconfiguration
