Bug Description

OS: Linux Mint 8 Helena
Gnome: 2.28.0
Gnome Nautilus: 2.28.1
Brasero: 2.28.2

I'm not sure exactly which package this involves, but the problem I am facing is that when I use the "CD/DVD creator" method of burning to disc with the drag and drop feature in a Nautlius window and then specify a disc name, once the burn process has completed, the disc is named 'CDROM' as opposed the name that I had typed in.

To reproduce:
1)insert a blank CD/DVD into the disc drive
2)select the CD/DVD creator option to burn to a blank disc
3)drag a file to the drag and drop area
4)click on the "write to disc" button
5)enter a new name into the 'disc name' section and proceed with the burn.

You said your OS is Linux Mint. Since we're the Ubuntu OS we don't provide support for other operating systems. I've moved this bug report to the Linux Mint project, they can help you.

I suppose it is a Nautilus bug, but I'm not sure

Hi Husse,

It's an upstream bug to us. It's hard to know where the fault originates:

- It could be Brasero...
- It could be Gnome itself...
- It could be a patch in Ubuntu...
- Or it could even be something in Debian.

Sense, can you reproduce the problem in Ubuntu? I doubt this is specific to Mint.

Hi Clem
Not Brasero as it is the Nautilus thingy that behaves bad
Just got the idea to install Karmic in Virtualbox so I can check
