Bug Description

Package: http://www.mthbuilt.com/downloads/2008/mymoney_2.0.26-1_i386.deb

Needs to be tested first.

NOTE: MyMoney is proprietary software, accordint to the http://www.mthbuilt.com :
You can download a free, 60-day trial, test the release out, or buy your own copy today.

Are there any reasons for including proprietary software into Linux Mint ? There are lots of free alternatives, like gnucash or homebank

There is another software - Kmymoney, which is opensource, while MyMoney is proprietary software, accordint to the http://www.mthbuilt.com :
You can download a free, 60-day trial, test the release out, or buy your own copy today. Trial programs contain the same functionality that you get when you buy the perpetual versions - but only for a limited time.

clem: I think I incorrectly assigned this to the CRP: Since it's a binary-only package, I think you'd have to add it to the repos yourself, is that right?
Also marking as Incomplete, rather than triaged since it seems kmymoney is in fact a different product which is already in the Ubuntu repos.

Changed in linuxmint:
assignee: The Linux Mint Community Repository Project (linuxmint-community-repository-project) → Clement Lefebvre (clementlefebvre)
status: Triaged → Incomplete
