Bug Description

Xubuntu, Linux Mint, all Distros featuring this kernel break the system, you either get a journal error, or blank screen, the x environment never starts. Only workaround, boot from Grub to 4.10 kernel

How it happened on several pc's and laptops for example Thinkpad T60 big culprit, running 500 field support computers, had error after kernel update. With Linux Mint is a little easier to delete the buggy kernal and go back to 4.10.

The fake recovering journal error or Error with fsck is not really the true issue.. and a fsck from live dvd or usb does not fix it. The problem is the kernel can't start the x environment, whether it is mate, or another flavor.
