Bug Description
System: Linux Mint 18.3 (Sylvia), 64-bit, MATE edition
The issue: I open a PDF document and choose my preferred settings. In particular I turn off the Toolbar and Side pane and turn on the Best fit option. I press Save Current Settings as Default. Then I open a copy of the document. The Toolbar in the copy is shown. Hence xreader does not remember at least the one of the saved settings. If I open another PDF document, the issue is the same: The Toolbar is displayed.
This behaviour is undesired especially because the Toolbar steals the precious vertical space. (BTW, I would be happy to have the option to turn off even the Menu bar.)
