Bug Description
After making a .sh file, I marked it as executable so it can be run in the Terminal. However, when I made a new text document, it told me "notes.txt is an executable text file". This should not have happened, because text documents are not made executable. However, when I selected "Allow executing file as program" (it was marked) it would always remark itself. This bug has been happening ever since I made the shell script executable. Later, this bug spread to all .txt files, even ones made outside of Linux with no executable bit.
I am running Linux Mint 18.3 (Cinnamon) x64.
