Banshee doesn't remember volume

1) environement
OS: Linux Mint 18.1 Serena Cinnamon 64 bit
banshee version: 2.6.3+sarah

2) description
start banshee
play music (it's playing at 100 % volume)
modify the volume in banshee (let's say to 50 %)
close banshee
start banshee
play music (it's playing at 100 % volume again)

3) result
the volume within banshee is set back to 100 % on each start of banshee

4) expected result
banshee should remember the volume (for the example: 50 %)

5) frequency
every time I start banshee

additional information:
This was already reported in the Ubuntu bug tracker: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/1071277 and fixed in 2.6.2 as of the banshee changelog: http://banshee.fm/download/archives/2.6.2/ (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686908). However the bug seems to be reintroduced?
