Mint 18.1 bottom panel problem with auto hide

I am running Min 18.1
Linux 4.4.0-53-generic #74-Ubuntu SMP Fri Dec 2 15:59:10 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have 6 workspaces setup 3 horizontal and 2 vertical. One of the spaces I am running terminator in maximized mode (not full screen). So on this space I clicked on bottom menu (not terminator but Mint) and did try to set "Auto Hide". Everything is ok. At some point I did try to revert this change but menu is still auto hiding. selecting property I see that "Auto Hide" is unchecked still menu is in auto hide mode.
I am using Compiz in Dark Mode
