xed find 'entire word' inconsistency

Bug Description
Using xed, when a word such as xxx_yyy is double-clicked, the entire word is selected. If only yyy is selected, a Find with 'Match entire word only' designated will also find all instances of xxx_yyy. Double-click and Find should define a word the same way.
This is in Linux Mint 18 'Sarah' Mate 64-bit with xed 1.0.6. I didn't try it in any other version of Mint.
