Bug Description

With my Linux Mint cinnamon 18 running on ASUS k52f with intel graphics there is no output when my pc is connected with HDMI cable to the TV.

From what I could understand from the `xrandr --listmonitors --verbose`, my problem is a wrong output from the HDMI: instead of duplicating the LVDS1 is duplicating the VGA1.

I tried to configure the `xorg.conf` file but I don't have it and I can not create it.

I have Intel graphs and I think from Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) the procedure

sudo service mdm start
sudo X -configure
sudo service mdm stop

does not work anymore to configure xorg.
