Login screen disappears after typing a wrong password

Bug Description
Hi, I'm using Linux Mint 18 Sarah Cinnamon 64 Bit and I'm experiencing a boring issue. In the login screen, if I accidentally type a wrong password in the login box, the box disappears and I'm not able to type the password again. To solve I have to reboot my PC. I thought that this was due to the login theme that I found in the Settings but the problem happens with all themes. I think it's a bug. Any solution? Thanks.
